This list is in no particular order. I'll keep adding to it over time. As a new Mom during a pandemic, I do most of my shopping online, so Amazon has been very helpful, especially with the fast shipping with Prime.
1. For labor, a wireless Bluetooth speaker to listen to music
I don't have this exact one, but mine is very similar. I also use mine everyday in the shower! That is my me-time while by husband plays with the baby after work, and it is so nice to listen to my music in the nice warm water and just relax for a few minutes. Here are my Labor & Delivery Spotify playlists for different stages/moods: Upbeat/Distraction & Chill/Relaxation.
2. Best Baby Wipes: Hello Bello
I have tested and compared at least 5 different brands of wipes, and for me, Hello Bello came out on top in all categories. They are affordable, hypoallergenic, plant-based, fragrance free, soft, and the perfect size and texture for effective wiping.
These things are a lifesaver! They're great for on-the-go, but they're also great for at home. You can easily set up a changing station anywhere (like on a bed), and not have to worry about leaks. We leave one on our changing table, and only switch it out when it gets dirty, so they last quite a while.
If you're going to be doing any pumping, I highly recommend getting a hands-free pumping bra, so you don't have to hold the pump the whole time. This one is great - it's affordable, convenient, and comfortable for pumping and breastfeeding.
It varies for everyone, but I really preferred this stuff to the lanolin I had originally purchased. I like that it's organic, and the texture is so much nicer to use. 7 months in, I still put it on everyday before I shower, to heal and protect my nipples from breastfeeding.
This thing is amazing! I can't recommend it enough. It's a bit pricey, but so worth it. Not only is it great for making tummy time more enjoyable, but it's like a little chair for the baby for such a long time. Our baby wanted to be propped up, so that she could see everyone and everything - she wasn't happy to lay down after a certain point. I could just put her in this and wrap presents, fold laundry, etc. We've been using it since around 2 or 3 months old, and currently, it's sitting in the playpen in our kitchen (she is now 7 months old). It allows us to put her down while we cook, do dishes, etc. or I can even use my computer while she's sitting in it. So convenient!
This is really great for capturing those adorable tiny handprints and footprints of your newborn without making any mess. It's so nice to have those keepsakes!
This pillow worked so well for us! It's especially handy if you're using a supplemental feeding system.
One of the best first toys for babies! Our daughter loves her ball.
Another favorite first toy - these are so easy to grasp, and they double as teethers and are great for connecting toys and attaching them to things.
A classic baby toy set - great for learning, and lots of fun for little ones.
Babies need Vitamin D drops, and these are a great option.
These bowls are amazing! Such great suction, and 3 different sizes. Great for purees, oatmeal, etc.
My daughter's stacking cups are currently her favorite toy - she loves stacking and un-stacking them, and it keeps her entertained for quite a while. They can be used in water too, because they have holes in the bottoms, and they stack as a tower. Lots of fun!
